The following documents are required to be submitted for allocation of GCP number:

• Registration form duly filled and signed along with the product classification.
• Copy of PAN card of the applicant company. In case of Proprietorship firm, copy of PAN card of the Proprietor.
• Proof of status of Applicant Company.
• for Proprietorship firm – copy of VAT Registration certificate
• for Partnership firm – copy of VAT Registration certificate/ Partnership deed
• for Pvt. Ltd / Public Ltd etc– copy of ROC / ROS / MOA / VAT Registration certificate.
• Forwarding / Request letter on company letterhead towards allocation of GS1 company prefix number.
• Copy of your balance sheet as on 31st March, 2014.

Points to consider while registering:

• Barcode capacity (100, 1000, 10000, 100000) selected at the time of registration cannot be changed later. Example: if you register for 100 barcodes and if exhausted, you would be required to register again.

• Subscription registration facility currently available for 1, 2, 3 or 10 Years which is subject to renewal on its expiry.
• Attach a copy of the audited balance sheet in support of your sales turnover for year ending 31st March, 2013 or latest.
